200 metres: head right out of the main exit from the station, cross Queen Victoria Street to the Black Friar pub, turn right under the railway bridge and turn left up Black Friars Lane, which runs between the railway line and the side of the Mellon Financial Centre. Walk past Harry's Bar pizza restaurant (on the left) and Apothecaries' Hall (on your right). At the top of Black Friars Lane, turn right into Carter Lane.
City Thameslink
On First Capital Connect's Thameslink train line from St Pancras International station (for Eurostar train services) and from both Gatwick and Luton airport stations
100 metres: take the Ludgate Hill exit from the platform; out of the station turn right up Ludgate Hill (St Paul's Cathedral is in front of you), turn first right into Pageantmaster Court, turn left and then right via Pilgrim Street into Ludgate Broadway, then left into Carter Lane.

Central Line underground
300 metres: once you're through the ticket barriers at the top of the escalator take the street exit on the right. At the top of the steps from the station turn sharp left along Newgate Street (you'll see BT's headquarters across the road from you); walk 200 metres and turn left into Warwick Lane, which becomes Ave Maria Lane. At the end, cross the road, which is Ludgate Hill (with St Paul's cathedral on your left), and enter Creed Lane, almost opposite. At the end of that, turn right into Carter Lane.
Airports
London Heathrow airport (LHR): Heathrow Express train from the airport to London Paddington, then underground: Bakerloo line to Embankment, then Circle or District line to Blackfriars. Or all the way by underground: Piccadilly line to South Kensington, then the Circle or District line to Blackfriars.
London City airport (LCY): Docklands Light Railway direct from the airport to Bank; change to Circle or District line (though this bit of the station is called Monument) to Blackfriars.
London Gatwick airport (LGW): First Capital Connect train direct from the airport to Blackfriars. Note: don't take Gatwick Express or Southern trains as they go to London Victoria station. The First Capital Connect train is direct to Blackfriars.
London Luton airport (LTN): Shuttle bus from the airport to Luton Airport Parkway station, then First Capital Connect train direct to City Thameslink or Blackfriars.
London Stansted airport (STN): Stansted Express train direct from the airport to London Liverpool Street; then Central line underground direct to St Paul's.
