Telefónica has selected Ericsson to operate its network operations centre in São Paulo. The three-year managed services partnership between the two companies includes core, transmission and ADSL networks. Ericsson will also be responsible for spare parts management.
Telefónica is seeking to introduce innovative products and services for its customers. Nearly 14 million users are likely to benefit from the operator’s focus on product and services.
With the deal, Telefónica will be able to strengthen its position in the Brazilian market. The contract extends the cooperation between Ericsson and Telefónica Brazil, which was established in 2008.
