TelstraClear picks new Clarity product

Management World 2010: New Zealand operator TelstraClear is using a new product from Clarity to offer white-label ISP services
Software vendor Clarity announced New Zealand operator announcing TelstraClear as its flagship customer for a product the company’s CEO Tony Kalcina said was the “missing link in the build, sell, fulfil, assure service cycle”. The product, Clarity Marketplace, is a new customer and product management solution for service providers.
The vendor claimed at the TMForum’s Management World conference in Nice that the new offering will simplify key processes between service providers and retail and wholesale customers.
It has been adopted by TelstraClear to manage interactions with its virtual ISP customers. The operator is using Marketplace to address its full virtual ISP requirement, from order entry to service activation, and is managing nine distinct virtual ISPs on the same platform. Each provider has its own secure, white-label service, ensuring there is no visibility or interaction between these distinct organisations.
“The virtual ISP differentiates towards their market and TelstraClear is able to sell its network and ISP capabilities, indirectly, to a far wider demographic,” said Raymond O’Brien, head of wholesale at TelstraClear, which is owned by Australian operator Telstra.
Marketplace has been developed to enable service providers to create, bundle and sell their products through any channel and react to market changes without significant IT development. In addition, they can share that same product portfolio and market management capabilities with their reseller channels through a secure, partitioned interface. GTB
