Ericsson to run network for power company

Ericsson has won a managed services contract to supply telecoms to Endesa, the Spanish electricity company

Spanish electricity utility Endesa has entered into a four-year managed services agreement with Ericsson to improve network efficiency and increase focus on its core business. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Ericsson will operate Endesa’s corporate telecom network. It will be responsible for managing daily operations of all services associated with the telecom network, network operations in the network operations centre, maintenance, installation services, engineering and construction management.
Endesa has a power generation business in Spain and other European countries, in Latin America and Morocco. It has 23.5 million customers and 24,500 employees worldwide. GTB
