Apple gets China licence for iPhone 4

China’s telecoms regulators have approved the Apple iPhone 4 for sale by local operators

Apple has received a China network access licence for its new smartphone. China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre has awarded a network licence for iPhone 4. Chinese operators may start selling the phone by September 16.
China Unicom, the country’s iPhone carrier, will offer two versions of the iPhone 4, which are a 16-gigabyte and a 32-gigabyte version.
Apple has opened its second retail store in the Shanghai and is planning to open two more stores in the city. The US company is scheduled to open 25 stores in the country by the end of 2011.
