Malaysian operator Celcom Axiata has signed a service agreement with Telekom Malaysia under which the incumbent will provide high-speed broadband services to Celcom.
Celcom will gain access to the last-mile and end user premises covered by Malaysia’s national high-speed broadband project and complements its position in the Malaysian mobile broadband services.
This agreement will allow Celcom to offer differentiated IP-based high-speed broadband services to its customers.
“With the signing of this deal with Celcom, TM is demonstrating that we are at the forefront of a new era in industry collaboration which further strengthens our position as a neutral wholesale service provider,” said Bazlan Osman, executive director and group chief financial officer of Telekom Malaysia.
