Spanish anti-trust unit CNC probing BT complaints against Vodafone, Orange and Telefónica

Spanish antitrust regulator CNC is investigating allegation of anti-competitive methods against Vodafone, France Telecom Orange and Telefónica.
According to Spanish daily El Economista, the commission said that there is evidence of the operators having misused their “dominant position” in mobile telephone markets.
The investigations follow the allegations made by BT and will go on for 18 months. CNC has criticised the operators for their attempts to slash MVNOs’ operating margins. The regulator is also probing the antenna rental tariffs that were charged by the Vodafone, Orange and Telefónica. GTB
