Russian regulator FAS approves Rostelecom’s proposal to acquire broadband internet firm Enter

Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has approved Rostelecom’s plans to acquire Siberian broadband internet provider Enter, from Dutch firm Consumer Enter.
The takeover will provide Rostelecom with access to Enter’s 22,000-strong subscriber base, boosting the company’s regional footprint. Enter’s subscribers are in the cities of Barnaul, Novokuznetsk and Tyumen, all in south-western Siberia close to the border with Kazakhstan.
At the same time, Rostelecom has also said that it will be repurchasing 3.86% of its own shares. GTB
