Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has approved Rostelecom’s plans to acquire Siberian broadband internet provider Enter, from Dutch firm Consumer Enter.
The takeover will provide Rostelecom with access to Enter’s 22,000-strong subscriber base, boosting the company’s regional footprint. Enter’s subscribers are in the cities of Barnaul, Novokuznetsk and Tyumen, all in south-western Siberia close to the border with Kazakhstan.
At the same time, Rostelecom has also said that it will be repurchasing 3.86% of its own shares. GTB
