The private-equity owners of Danish operator TDC — including Blackstone, Permira Advisers, Apax Partners, KKR, and Providence Equity Partners — are considering options to sell some of their holdings in the company.
Sources told Bloomberg that the companies, which own 59% in TDC, may reduce their stake in TDC via a block sale, which would be based on TDC’s stock performance.
The firms have also reportedly discussed a complete sale with investment banks, looking at potential strategic buyers or other equity firms. The current rebound in European stock markets would probably make it less difficult for the owners to sell shares.
TDC’s share price values the private equity companies’ shares at $3.9 billion. GTB
