Ericsson will modernise Orange Jordan’s 2G network and expand its 3G network, to help deal with the expanding subscriber base and to provide customers high quality connectivity.
Ericsson said it would also provide the operator an energy-efficient compact site solution, to prepare the network for LTE technology.
Tarek Saadi, Ericsson’s president and head of north Middle East, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our successful relationship with Orange Jordan, and to have been awarded the modernisation and expansion contract of their 3G and 2G networks.”
The deal widens the existing partnership between the two firms, with telecommunications equipment provider Ericsson serving as the exclusive supplier for Orange Jordan’s telecommunication networks for 11 years.
Saadi said: “We are committed to working with Orange to provide them with tailored and adaptable solutions that can help them meet the demands of their increasing subscriber base, and we look forward to further cooperation with Orange in the future.” GTB
