Private investment firm OpenGate Capital has acquired Getronics Latam, the Latin American division of Getronics, KPN’s IT services business.
The Getronics Latam businesses will keep operating under the Getronics brand name until the completion of rebranding activities later in 2012. No price was revealed for the deal.
Andrew Nikou, founder and CEO of OpenGate Capital said: “Not only is Getronics Latam complementary to Sopho, our other South American portfolio company, it also enables us to expand our presence in three dynamic markets — Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. We’re building our track record among strategic sellers divesting cross-border, multicultural assets.”
Getronics Latam has over 2,000 employees and revenues of more than $150 million from its operations in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. GTB
