Tunisiana, Qatar Telecom's Tunisian subsidiary, has won 3G and fixed-line network licences for $135 million.
The operator plans to launch the 3G network in July this year, while the fixed-line services will start at the beginning of 2013, reported Reuters citing a Qtel statement.
Qatar Telecom's plans to list Tunisiana on the Tunis stock exchange in the first half of last year were postponed due to political changes in Tunisia. A Qtel consortium bought Tunisiana last year after acquiring Orascom Telecom Holding's 50% share in the operator. GTB
