The TM Forum’s Management World exhibition and conference has opened in Dublin for what is expected to be the second and last time. The industry organisation is expected to move its annual conference back to the Acropolis Centre in Nice, where the event was held until 2010, from next year.
Keith Willetts, chairman of the TM Forum, refused to be drawn on the subject at a press briefing as the event opened at the Conference Centre Dublin on Tuesday morning, but others at the event said that a decision will be announced on Wednesday and some confirmed that the choice would be Nice.
“The weather in the south of France is good at this time of year,” said Willetts, confirming that the Acropolis Centre had undertaken some refurbishment in the TM Forum’s two-year absence.
Meanwhile the TM Forum is expecting about 3,000 delegates to its Dublin conference, which runs until Thursday.
The organisation presented its excellence awards to four companies at a dinner on the evening before the conference opened. The winners were China Mobile, Huawei, Reliance Communications and Oracle. GTB
