Verizon Wireless has hired Loop Capital as its second adviser for the planned sale of wireless spectrum in the US, reported Reuters. On April 18, Stephens was appointed to manage the offering process. Loop Capital will act as co-advisor with Stephens.
Verizon Wireless, in which Vodafone owns a 45% stake, intends to buy spectrum worth $3.9 billion from cable companies and the development is being seen as an attempt to gain regulatory approval.
The US operator said it is ready to sell some spectrum if the FCC grants approval to its plan to purchase capacity from cable companies. GTB
