Vodafone has reorganised its European structure into two regions — one for northern and central Europe and the other for southern Europe, with new executives in charge.
Philipp Humm — formerly head of T-Mobile USA — will run northern and central Europe for the company from October 2012, and Vodafone Italy chief Paolo Bertoluzzo will look after southern Europe, as well as continuing with his Italian responsibility.
Humm’s territory is the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Romania, Turkey and the UK, while Bertoluzzo will be responsible for Albania, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain.
Vittorio Colao, Vodafone chief executive, said: “Our new regional structure will underpin our strategy focused on meeting our customers’ long-term needs, and Paolo and Philipp will be strong additions to the Vodafone group executive committee.” GTB
