Indian operator Bharti Airtel is considering an IPO of its tower unit Bharti Infratel, by selling up to a 10% stake. The company has appointed a committee of the board of directors to consider and confirm the terms regarding participation in the offer for sale of equity shares.
Bharti Airtel said in a statement that any offering and its timing will be subject to market conditions, and securing related shareholder and regulatory sanctions.
Bharti Infratel operates over 33,000 towers. GTB
