Entry to the 2012 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards is now open. There is no charge for making a nomination.
Key dates:
Deadline for nominations: close of business on Friday March 2 2012
Innovation Summit and Awards Dinner: London, Tuesday June 12 2012
How to enter:
Start by downloading the entry form on this Microsoft Word document:

Click on the image above or use this link http://www.globaltelecomsbusiness.com/pdf/GTBInnovationAwards2012_entryform.doc
(Word document, 83k)
a Complete the Word document and then save it with a NEW filename that identifies your company and the project — such as AcmeTelecoms_teleport.doc. Complete all the sections. Do not delete any section.
b Email it as an attachment by the deadline (see above) to aburkitt@euromoneyplc.com. Make sure the subject line starts GTB Awards entry and includes your company name and identifies the project (for example GTB Awards entry Acme Telecoms teleport project).
c Include NO OTHER attachments. No pictures, no PowerPoint files. If we want more we will ask.
d If you have more than one entry, send each in a separate email. Do not send multiple entries in one email.
e If you need to change the entry after you have submitted it, send a complete new form, with another filename (such as AcmeTelecoms_teleport2.doc). We cannot insert edits into a form we have already received.
f We CANNOT accept any nominations that are subject to any form of non-disclosure agreement. By sending a completed form to us you accept that we can pass this information on to judges and, if the project wins an award, we can publish company names and the text from section 4.
g We do, however, recognise an EMBARGO. We will not publish anything from this document until 22.30 UK time on Tuesday June 12 2012. At the same time you agree not to publish anything about the status of your nomination in the selection process, including whether it is shortlisted, until 22.30 UK time on Tuesday June 12 2012.
h A full set of rules appears on our website www.globaltelecomsbusiness.com — follow the link to Innovation Awards. The editor’s decision is final.
See also the guidelines and rules at the bottom of this page.

The editor of Global Telecoms Business also presents Editor's Awards to individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the industry. Guidelines and rules for GTB Innovation Awards 2012 - please read carefully
1. The GTB Innovation Awards are designed to honour projects involving telecoms operators and service providers around the world, in association with their vendors and suppliers.
2. It is an essential feature of the GTB Innovation Awards that projects involve a partnership between operators and vendors.
3. The GTB Innovation Awards are not for products and an award is not normally made to a project involving a single company.
4. Nomination forms should give key dates relating to a project. To be eligible for consideration, projects should be timely and current.
5. The Innovation Awards dinner for 2012 will be in London on Tuesday June 12 2012. Full details of venue and associated events will be posted here closer to the date, along with information on how to book tables.
6. The deadline for nominations is close of business on Friday March 2 2012. All nominations must be submitted online.
7. The awards ceremony is an essential feature of the GTB Innovation Awards, and before making a nomination individuals should confirm that, in case a project is shortlisted, at least one key executive from each company in a project is willing and able to take part in the awards dinner.
8. Prices for tables at the dinner will be disclosed closer to the date of the ceremony.
9. Global Telecoms Business cannot pay for travel or accommodation.
10. Nominations may be made by anyone, whether or not they are directly connected with a project, though the relationship — such as PR consultant — should be declared on the nomination.
11. The person making the nomination will, at first, be the main contact point. However Global Telecoms Business will independently contact others involved to verify the information provided.
12. There is no charge for making a nomination. However, multiple nominations should not be made for a number of broadly similar projects. Such nominations will be rejected.
13. All required fields should be completed. It is important that Global Telecoms Business has accurate — and direct — contact information for all companies involved in a project and for at least one senior executive per company.
14. Nominations should include a 350-word summary of the project. This must be regarded as a publishable document. If a project wins a prize in the awards, this text will be published online and in print by Global Telecoms Business on or after June 12 2012.
15. As the aim of any nomination is an award at a public ceremony at which companies taking part in a project will be named, non-disclosure agreements are inappropriate.
16. Those involved with shortlisted projects will be notified directly in good time to make arrangements, but no list will be published.
17. Winners will not be able to make speeches or presentations at the awards ceremony, which will be a black-tie dinner.
18. No information about the shortlist and potential winners must be published until 22.30 UK time on June 12 2012, when the information will be released on www.globaltelecomsbusiness.com. All parties involved in each project must honour this embargo.
19. We aim to have pictures of the awards ceremony available via www.globaltelecomsbusiness.com within 24 hours of the ceremony. Those connected with a successful project will be able to download and use relevant pictures in any promotional material, subject to the inclusion of a credit to www.globaltelecomsbusiness.com and the name of photographer.
20. The editor’s decision in all cases is final.
