Verizon forms enterprise solutions unit

John Stratton to be president of Verizon’s new global enterprise solutions, including wholesale

Verizon Communications has established Verizon Enterprise Solutions, a new global enterprise unit responsible for business, government and wholesale operations from across the company’s wireless and wireline businesses. The company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, John Stratton, will be the president for this new firm.
Stratton has 18 years of company experience, serving in leading marketing roles for Verizon Wireless and Verizon Communications, in addition to several senior sales and operations positions.
Bob Toohey will be the chief operating officer and Mike Millegan will continue to be global president of wholesale. The other members include Ajay Waghray, who will be CIO and lead all IT initiatives, and Kerry Bailey who will be chief marketing officer. Waghray and Bailey are presently chief information officer of Verizon Wireless and group president of Verizon’s Terremark IT solutions arm respectively.
Lowell McAdam, president and CEO of Verizon, said: “Enterprise and government customers are looking for complete solutions. By aligning our efforts, we will be uniquely positioned to meet business customer needs.”
McAdam added: “We know that the intersection of mobility, cloud computing and security will drive a revolution in enterprise IT over the next ten years. This change will allow us to leverage all of our technology assets to take advantage of growth opportunities around the world.” GTB
