Airtel subscribers get access to 3,000 titles on video after Ericsson delivers Nuvu service

Airtel has partnered with Ericsson to launch a new a subscription-based video-on-demand (VoD) service in Nigeria.

Nuvu will provide subscribers access to more than 3,000 local and international TV and film titles, empowering Airtel customers to download content directly to their smartphones or tablets at no additional data cost during off-peak network times. This includes access to downloaded content for up to 30 days.

The service is set to include the launch of an Android app for smartphones, with plans to expand the app to other mobile operating systems at a later date. Nuvu can be accessed via a weekly or monthly subscription, and customers also receive the first two weeks for free.
