Data centre leaders honoured at Monaco conference
Ceremony at Salle des Étoiles in Monaco sees industry leaders honoured for data centre quality and innovation
A total of 18 companies and executives from the cloud industry were honoured last night in Monaco at Datacloud Europe’s annual awards.
The Datacloud Awards, now in their tenth year, were held in the glittering Salle des Étoiles overlooking the Mediterranean, under an open roof with an almost-full moon overhead.
Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan presented the awards to data centre companies and leading individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry.
Gerd Simon, chairman of the judging panel, said: “The Datacloud Awards celebrate some of the best companies, individuals and technologies in this increasingly challenging and competitive industry. All the categories were hotly contested, with entries of outstanding quality reflecting the amount of change and innovation that is happening in the industry right now. We congratulate the winners on their achievement.”
He told the hundreds gathered at the black-tie dinner that the winners were selected from over 160 nominations.
