Telenor Hungary executive moves to Bulgaria to replace Michael Foley, now in Bangladesh

Telenor has appointed Ole Bjorn Sjulstad as the new CEO of its unit in Bulgaria, taking over from Sasa Filipovic who has been in the role temporarily since 20 May.

Sjulstad will join the Bulgarian operation from Telenor Hungary, where he was chief corporate development officer, on 1 August.

During his nearly 17 years spent with Telenor Group, he has accumulated a broad experience in Asia, Norway and Eastern Europe. In March 2007, he joined Telenor’s CEE region, while from March 2009 he served as head of Telenor’s representative office in Moscow for six years.

He steps into the role at Telenor Bulgaria following the departure of former CEO Michael Foley, who became head of Telenor group in Bangladesh earlier this year.
